Making a Collective ImpactWorking collectively as individuals and preservation groups and agencies we have accomplish great things in the Mid Kettle Moraine for over two decades! The Mid Kettle Moraine Partners has had measurable impact in directing public and private efforts, and preservation funds to protect the Mid Kettle Moraine. By identifying boundaries and establishing preservation criteria the Partners have influenced private and public preservation efforts, while encouraging collaborative projects. The Partners believe that while formal protection is key, it is not always financially or otherwise feasible. Permanent protection, therefore will be assured only if every sector and every individual can work collectively to advocate for the preservation and stewardship of the Mid Kettle in their own way. We invite everyone to step out and explore the wonders and natural bounty of the Mid Kettle Moraine. We then invite your participation in advocating for its health and long-term preservation!

What is Collective Impact?
A commitment of a group, made up of individuals from different sectors, to find a common agenda in solving a specific challenge.

In order for groups such at the Mid Kettle Moraine Partners to create lasting solutions to social and environment problems on a large-scale, we need to better coordinate our efforts and work together around a clearly defined goal. Yet all too often organizations working towards the same end act in isolation from each other. Collective Impact moves away from this, requiring organizations to form cross-sector coalitions in order to make meaningful and sustainable progress. Collective Impact is not merely a matter of encouraging more collaboration or public-private partnerships. It requires a systemic approach to social impact that focuses on the relationships between organizations and the progress toward shared objectives.
